Omar Labastida is a DJ, producer, and key figure in the Mexican electronic underground, with three decades of experience in house and tech house. He began playing at age 15 in Mexico City, influenced by a musical family background and an early connection to percussion and groove that continues to define his sound to this day.

His career has been built from the DJ booth and the dance floor: residencies at iconic venues like Pacha Mexico, La Boom Cancún, and Blue Parrot in Playa del Carmen, as well as a constant presence at The BPM Festival since its first edition, have positioned him as a leading figure in the national underground scene. Over time, this path expanded to Europe, Asia, and Latin America, reaching a key milestone with his debut at Ministry of Sound (London) in 2025.

As a producer, he has released over 200 tracks on international labels, always remaining true to a rhythmic language where percussion, groove, and dance floor awareness are essential. In parallel, he is co-founder and artistic director of Downtown Tulum Radio, a platform that connects the local scene with a global audience, and founder of Riviera Underground, a project from which he continues to promote talent and build bridges between scenes.
